We are incredibly grateful to have you as part of “Get Hooked.” Your support means the world to us and helps create meaningful opportunities for students interested in careers in commercial real estate. Here is everything you need to know before we cast off for an unforgettable day on the water!
When is the tournament?

The Captains' Cocktail Party is Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at Dracula's Legacy Wine Bar & Bistro. The tournament itself is Thursday, October 15, 2026, followed by lunch and the awards ceremony back at the dock.
How do I secure my sponsorship and reserve my boat?

To secure your sponsorship and reserve your boat, pay by credit card or ACH through Stripe on our sponsorship page.
Where do the proceeds go?

100% of net proceeds support scholarships for students pursuing careers in commercial real estate. Proceeds from “Get Hooked” 2025 supported students at UF, FSU, USF, and UCF, and this year we hope to expand that reach even further.
Where do we park for the Welcome Cocktail Party?

Where do we park for the Fishing Tournament?

Valet parking is available at the Hula Bay marina on the morning of the tournament.
What gear is provided on the boat?

Your captain provides all rods, reels, tackle, and bait. Drinks & Snacks are stocked on each boat.
Do I need a fishing license?

No — you'll be fishing under your captain's charter license. No individual license is required.
How does the tournament scoring work?

Multi-Species Format This is a multi-species fishing tournament. Each eligible species is assigned a point value. Simply submit a photo of each eligible catch through the iAngler Tournament app, and points will be awarded accordingly. The boat with the highest total points at the end of the tournament will be crowned the winner! - All participants must complete a tournament waiver, which will be provided once your boat sponsorship is confirmed. - Every boat is captained by Captain Bubba's Flats Mafia of Invasion Fishing Charters and his experienced team of professional captains. - Complete tournament rules, scoring procedures, and event details will be reviewed during the captains' meeting on the morning of the tournament.
What if the weather is bad?

Both the Welcome Party and Tournament Day are rain or shine events!
Can my company support the cause if we cannot fish?

Absolutely! We would be incredibly grateful for your support. Your company can sponsor a boat, receive all sponsorship benefits, and offer the four spots to clients, team members, friends, or other guests. You may also donate the boat spots, and our team will gladly coordinate the participants! You can also contribute directly to the fund through our donation page. Every sponsorship and donation truly means the world to us and helps create meaningful opportunities for students interested in pursuing careers in commercial real estate!!
