Tournament Rules

  1. Tournament Hours

    Boats leave the dock at 9:00 AM and must return to the dock by 1:00 PM. All tournament entries must be submitted through the iAngler app by 12:59 PM. Late entries will not be eligible for scoring.

  2. Eligible Species & Point Values

    The following species are eligible for tournament scoring:

    Snook • Trout • Redfish • Jack • Ladyfish • Catfish • Grouper • Sheepshead • Puffer • Flounder • Mackerel • Snapper

    Each species will be assigned a point value. Species point values will be randomly selected at the Cocktail Party and posted in the iAngler app the morning of the tournament.

  3. Eligible Fish & Photo Requirements

    Only ONE fish per species per team/boat may be entered for scoring. All fish must be photographed alive, and each photo must clearly include a Get Hooked branded koozie for verification.

    Photos must be submitted through the iAngler app. Photos without the Get Hooked branded koozie will not be eligible for scoring.

  4. Scoring

    Boat scoring is based on the total points earned for qualifying fish submitted during tournament hours. Each species has an assigned point value, and the boat or team with the highest total wins.

    In the event of a tie, the award goes to the team that submitted its complete list of qualifying species first in the app.

  5. Tournament Boundaries

    There are no designated fishing boundaries for the tournament. Teams should be mindful of tournament hours and travel time to ensure they return to the dock by 1:00 PM.

  6. Fishing Methods

    Fishing will be done with rods and reels only. All fish must be caught during tournament hours on the day of the tournament. A net may be used to land fish into the boat.

    Participants may leave the boat to catch bait only. No fishing from land is permitted.

  7. Illegal or Altered Fish

    Any attempt to submit an illegal fish or a fish with cuts, puncture wounds, or other alterations determined by the Tournament Committee to have been intentionally inflicted to capture, restrain, or manipulate the fish will result in immediate disqualification.

  8. Inspections

    All coolers and live wells are subject to inspection by Tournament Officials.

  9. Fishing & Boating Regulations

    All applicable Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and U.S. Coast Guard rules and regulations regarding fishing, licensing, boating, and vessel operation apply throughout the tournament.

    Anyone receiving a violation during tournament hours may be subject to disqualification. Unannounced visits or inspections by FWC officials may occur during the tournament.

  10. Protests & Final Decisions

    Any protest must be presented to Tournament Officials within 15 minutes after the tournament ends and will be addressed immediately.

    All decisions made by Tournament Officials are final.

  11. Tournament Awards

    Awards will be presented in two categories:

    • Individual Largest Catch – BIGGEST SNOOK, BIGGEST TROUT, BIGGEST REDFISH
    • Highest Points Boat
